Features

# Everything a website needs, in one window.

Studio is where you write the pages, design them, add the parts that move, and publish. Underneath, Jx turns all of it into plain HTML you can host anywhere, and every file stays yours.

Jx Studio

## Design visually. Save as plain files.

Jx Studio is a free desktop app. Create a project, design on a canvas, edit text where it sits on the page, decide what happens on a click, and publish, and all of it saves as ordinary JSON and Markdown in a folder you own. No proprietary format, and no export step.

✓A live canvas that renders the real page

✓Full control of spacing, type, color, and layout

✓Click any text on the page and type

✓Check every layout at phone and tablet widths

✓Clicks, forms, and data wired up in structured panels

Content

## Your writing is files, not rows in a database.

Your pages and posts live as Markdown and JSON in a folder, so there is no content database to run and no admin panel to secure. Copy them, back them up, or hand them to someone else, the same way you would with any other document.

✓Markdown with rich blocks, not a locked editor

✓Collections with a schema, so every post has what it needs

✓Page addresses follow the folders you put things in

✓Every change is recorded, and any version can come back

✓Plain Markdown, which people and models both read

For example

A price toggle that switches monthly and yearly. A gallery you can page through. A form that answers back without reloading the page. A list that fills itself from a table. Each one is sent to the browser where you put it, and the rest of the page stays plain HTML.

Interactivity

## Pages that do things, not just say things.

Add a toggle, a filter, a form, or a list that fills itself from real data. Jx sends the browser just the pieces that have to move, so the rest of the page arrives as finished HTML with nothing to run.

✓Powered by @vue/reactivity, the published package

✓Built on the browser's own custom elements

✓No framework syntax to learn before you start

✓Static pages ship no JavaScript at all

✓Fetch data, store choices, and handle forms with built-in pieces

Accounts and data

## Add a login. Add a database.

Some sites are more than pages. Turn on the accounts and database extensions and the build puts one small server program beside your site, so visitors can sign in and your pages can read and write real data. Your keys and queries stay on the server.

✓Email and password or social sign-in, via Better Auth

✓Per-table rules: public, authenticated, owner, or by role

✓Connect Cloudflare D1, Supabase, or SQLite

✓Read and write rows with filter, sort, and pagination

✓Server functions keep API keys and secrets off the client

For example

A members area behind a sign-in. A bookings table only staff can edit. A comment thread where people can change their own posts and nobody else's. You describe the tables and the rules once, and the build carries them into the server program it writes.

What publishing does

One command turns the project into a folder: every page as finished HTML, images in modern formats at the sizes each screen needs, a sitemap, and the redirects you set. Upload that folder anywhere, or let your host make it for you every time you publish.

Publishing

## One folder, ready to publish.

Every page is built ahead of time and served from a CDN, so static pages are HTML and CSS with nothing to run. Add accounts or a database, pick a server adapter, and the same command also writes a self-contained worker for Cloudflare, Node, or Bun.

✓Incremental, cache-friendly builds

✓Automatic image optimization (WebP, AVIF)

✓Static pages with no JavaScript by default

✓Deploy to GitHub Pages, Cloudflare, Vercel, anywhere

✓Adapters for Cloudflare Workers, Pages, Node, and Bun

✓No PHP, no containers, and no server unless you need one
